Whitney High School Cooking Classes Open to the Public!

Whitney High School Cooking Classes Taught by Carissa McCrory, WHS Culinary Instructor, and assisted by the student chefs. 

These classes will help to raise funds for us to participate in the 2013 ProStart Culinary Competition.

COST - $25.00 per class. Those who sign up for all 6 classes will receive a free Recipe CD. And a $10.00 discount!

WHO can attend? Anyone over the age of 12 who is interest

ed in becoming a better cook!

WHERE - Whitney High School 701 Wildcat Blvd. Rocklin, CA. 95765 Room F-9 *Take Ranch View Dr. off of Wildcat and park in the back parking lot. Look for signs.

There is a 1 week cancellation policy. Classes will last about 3 hours.

Tuesday, October 30th 6:00 p.m.

• Gluten Free, and delicious?! Yes it can be done; we've taken out all the guess work for you! Pancakes, Corn Bread, Chocolate Cake and Easy Dinner Rolls, plus a few extra surprises!

Tuesday, November 6th 6:00 p.m.

• Monday Night Meals - Quick, healthy and tasty. Invite the young chefs in your kitchen to join you to explore basic cooking at its best! Including Baked Mostaccioli and Chicken Veggie Fajitas, plus an Apple Crisp you can get in the oven in less than 20 minutes!

Tuesday, November 13th 6:00 p.m.

• Pies and Tarts - Just in time for the holidays, baking basics to warm your home and impress your family. Our pie tips will make you a pro! Discover my perfect pie crust secret and use it to create pastries like: Pastry Cream Pie with Fresh Fruit, a Lemon Tart and Pumpkin Cheese cake.

Tuesday, December 4th 6:00 p.m.

• Sushi - Learn to make delicious sushi at home for half the cost of eating out. We will explore basic rolls, with both cooked and raw seafood, such as our Wildcat Roll with broiled salmon, cucumber, cream cheese, green onions and our special Sriracha sauce!

Tuesday December 11th 6:00 p.m.

• Elegant Holiday Entertaining - A make ahead buffet: Crispy Prosciutto Cups with Pears, Marinated Bocconcini, Crisp Wantons with Cream cheese and Chutney and Baked Brie. Yum!

All evenings include recipes, training, shopping for ingredients and menu planning.
