Dinner fundraiser to support Feed My Starving Children
A local effort to pack 500,000 meals for malnourished children around the world is holding its first major fundraiser for 2012, a special dinner on Aug. 3 catered by Randy Peters Catering and Event Planning.
All of the proceeds of the fundraising dinner, to be held at Valley Springs Church at 2401 Olympus Drive in Roseville, will benefit the non-profit Feed My Starving Children MobilePack event. The MobilePack is scheduled for Nov. 13-17 at William Jessup University.
The dinner for 200 is being donated by Randy Peters Catering and Event Planning.
“We are very honored to partner with Randy and Lisa Peters for this special fundraiser,” said Kris Glass, the Feed My Starving Children MobilePack event organizer. “Their tremendous donation will allow us to use all the money raised that evening to pay for meals we will pack in November.”
Tickets for the fundraising dinner, an Italian themed Cena Italiano, are $45 per person or $80 per couple. Every packed meal costs 22 cents, so each $45 ticket provides about 204 meals to feed malnourished children.
In addition to an Italian dinner, a silent auction, live entertainment, and raffles will also take place throughout the night. Eric Hogue, host of the Capitol Hour on KTKZ-AM, will serve as master of ceremonies.
“Last year, 2,500 people in our area volunteered to pack 500,000 meals for malnourished children,” said Randy Peters. “We are very pleased to be a part of this special community event that gives everyone an opportunity to meet the real needs of children around the world.”
Randy Peters Catering & Event Planning is one of the top catering companies in the area, offering unique culinary creations and styling. Hey! This is a good read. I will be looking forward to visit your page again and for your other posts as well. Thank you for sharing your thoughts about online school fundraising in your area. I'm glad to stop by your site and know more about online school fundraising.
ReplyDeleteOther school fundraisers that generate substantial revenue for schools include auctions and raffles. With these types of fundraising activities, the school requests donations from local restaurants and businesses in their area, that are then offered at the event. In the case of an auction, people are allowed to bid on the dinner, limousine ride, or whatever was donated by the local businesses in the community. In the case of a raffle, people purchase raffle tickets that are then later picked randomly from a container. Often the donations are solicited by parents acting on behalf of the school, who make phone calls, write letters, or know of other parents who work for companies who may be willing to donate.
Auction Fundraisers are discovering the power of anytime, anywhere auctions to dramatically improve the way they raise money.
